Use chopper coffee cups as a money box

THE Westpac Life Saver Rescue Helicopter's annual community appeal day - Chopper Day, is only one week away.

Chopper Day is August 1 and is the community's chance to help put the fun in fundraising to help raise support for this vital service.

"The excitement is definitely building as we get closer to the big day," fundraising manager Zeke Huish said.

"We have been really fortunate to have schools, businesses and community groups register to be part of the Day.

"We hope everyone enjoys Chopper Day and finds a way to make it that little bit special for themselves".

One of the highlights of Chopper Day is cafes across the region using specially marked 'Chopper Coffee' takeaway cups to encourage the user to take a photo of the cup either in a bizarre or funny setting and post it on the Service's Facebook page to show their involvement.

The cup can then also be used a personal money box to collect some loose change which can be deposited into any Westpac Bank in support of the appeal.

To register to hold your very own fundraiser with friends or colleagues, or to find out more information, visit the website to join in the fun.
