Ute engulfed in flames

THE DRIVER of a white Nissan Patrol ute walked away uninjured after colliding with a tree on Rogans Bridge Rd near Water View heights at 6:20pm last night.

It is believed the car was travelling north toward Copmanhurst when a kangaroo hopped out in front of the vehicle and the driver swerved off the road.

The car was towing a trailer with a gas bottle that exploded moments after the crash and engulfed the vehicle in flames.

RFS attended to put the fire out as did police but the driver did not require medical attention and walked away unscathed.
