Ute takes out shop

IPSWICH real estate agent June Frank may have been left with a catastrophic mess to clean up, but she was also thanking her lucky stars yesterday.

Ms Frank's Walkers Real Estate office was badly damaged after the driver of a black Holden ute allegedly evaded police about 10pm on Thursday night, running two red lights before crashing into another car and slamming into the shop front, on Brisbane St at the five-ways.

The 27-year-old woman in the other vehicle was treated for leg and stomach pain.

"If this happened during work time, three of us would be dead," Ms Frank said.

The 32-year-old driver of the utility was treated for minor leg injuries. Police said the man could face charges of dangerous operation of a motor vehicle.
