VIDEO: Dashcam shows crash as truck veers into traffic

A VIDEO has surfaced of the moment a car is forced to plough into the side of a hulking semi-trailer after the truck ignored a red arrow on a major Brisbane arterial.

The driver of the car hit the truck on Kingsford Smith Drive near the Gateway Motorway on-ramp on February 17.

The moment of impact was captured by the vehicle's dash cam.

The footage was uploaded to Dash Cam Owners Australia's Facebook page.

The car's driver has said he was able to walk away from the crash "with a bit of whiplash".

The truck driver, 49, was fined by police for driving through a red light, according to News Limited.
