Vintage car club making the trek to Yamba

NOT everyone is into polishing chrome and spending hours tinkering over a car engine, however, vintage cars do generate envious looks whenever they pass by.

Admirers of big brass radiators and sweeping mudguards will have their pulses racing this Saturday, January 17, when the Grafton Vintage Car Club comes to the Yamba Museum.

As part of current Aussie icons and inventions exhibition The Whizzes of OZ, a number of Holdens and other vintage cars of the same era will be on display.

This popular exhibition will close on February 2 so make sure that you don't miss out on this special treat to meet the owners who take pride in their machines, often with a colourful story to tell.

Entry to the exhibition, including Julie Gould's vegemite paintings, is $5 and children are free.

There will be a sausage sizzle and drinks available on Saturday.
