Celebrate winter with Friends of Grafton Gallery's Soup Day
WINTER has arrived in good time to turn our thoughts to steaming, hot comfort food.
And what better way to enjoy warm seasonal cuisine than in the presence and comfort of friends.
The Friends of Grafton Gallery (FoGG) will be presenting their annual Winter Solstice Soup Day this Sunday, so grab your nearest and dearest, and your coat and beanie, while you relax among the deciduous trees in the Grafton Regional Gallery's picturesque courtyard.
This year nine Clarence Valley chefs will tantalise the tastebuds with a great variety of sustaining broths. These will be complemented by a wide assortment of specialty and home-made breads and followed by delicious array of petite sweets crafted by the talented Friends.
Very generous Clarence Valley restaurateurs, who have long supported Soup Day, will be returning this year including Alchemy South Grafton, Roches Family Hotel, Tree Tops, Victoria's and Vines at 139.
Making its second appearance at Soup Day is Grafton's waterfront restaurant Austin and Co., while the Grafton Farmers' Market will be represented by Murray and Casey Challacombe.
Newcomers to Soup Day 2015 are Yamba's Irons and Craig and Grafton's Heart and Soul Wholefood Cafe.
The FoGG's team of talented bread-makers includes Evie Miller, and potter Geoff Crispin, as well as the celebrated bakery Hank's Kitchen.
