THIS Eastern Brown snake proved even more slippery than what Ross McGibbon's is used to.

Considered the world's second most venomous snake, this sneaky specimen made the Sunshine Coast snake catcher think fast after it attempted a jail break after being imprisoned in a Toowoomba bathroom.

Mr McGibbon was told the snake was about two feet long, but what he discovered was far bigger.

While he had a chat to the camera thinking the snake was safely inside, it made a dash for a tiny gap beside the bathroom basin.

"If I was two seconds slower, I would have had no chance," he wrote on the Sunshine Coast Snake Catchers 24/7 Facebook page.

"The mother of the resident was quite shaken up from the fright of having a snake in her home so catching and relocating the snake was a great result.

"I don't know how I would of told her the bad news if it got away from me".
