Wear dance shoes for charity ball

BIG band music and dancing will be on stage this Saturday night when the Royal Australian Navy Band performs at Maryborough's City Hall.

Performing at the RSL's Citizens and Military Ball, the ensemble was set to have people burning up the dance floor to their sensational retro-inspired swing.

Hosted by the Maryborough RSL, the ball would celebrate an array of military milestones including the Royal Australian Navy's centenary, throughout the evening.

With proceeds going to the Royal Flying Doctors Service, RSL president Bob Evans said there had never been a better time to see Australia's best brass band.

"The singers in the navy band are just incredible," he said.

"It's definitely going to be the highlight of the night."

With a licensed bar and supper served at the event, the charity function was bound to be a great night for everyone who attended.

Tickets for the event were $60 each and were available from the Maryborough RSL.
