WEATHER: A sunny day which seems more like spring

MORNINGS are cooler but the days continue to be gorgeous.

Today's weather forecast is for a mostly sunny day.

There will be areas of fog this morning, mainly inland.

A slight chance of a shower predicted near the Queensland border early this morning.

Light winds will become westerly 20 to 25 km/h in the middle of the day then becoming light in the evening.

Daytime maximum temperatures to be around 30 degrees celsius.

A cold front will slip south of New South Wales on Tuesday as a high pressure ridge builds across central parts of the state, and a low pressure trough weakens in the northeast.

Following the cold front, the establishing high pressure ridge will become the dominant synoptic feature until the end of the week when the next cold front is forecast to affect the state.
