Wedding Expo hits right spot

WITH THE spring wedding season fast approaching couples about to tie the knot were given plenty of ideas at the Daily Examiner Wedding Expo on Sunday.

The event was hosted by the South Grafton Ex-Servicemen's Club and almost 100 people had already walked through the door by 11am.

A great variety of businesses were on hand to show off their wares.

Everything from formal wear, to jewellery, wedding photography, millinery, catering, cele- brants and even advice on pre-nuptial dental care was available to patrons.

Ann O'Donnell of Esteem Jewellery had a constant flow of people coming through looking for that special shiny accessory for the big day.

"It is quite a good crowd today; everyone is in a good mood and the event has been well-timed to coincide with the start of the wedding season," Ms O'Donnell said.

"We've had a lot of girls who are about to get married visiting the expo today."

Sylvia and Stuart Fitch were handing out tasty samples of their red velvet mud cake.

Ms Fitch has been making wedding cakes for 30 years.
