PO is a martial arts hero, the Chosen One and a popular panda in ancient China, but his world is shattered when he is instructed to teach martial arts to his team mates.

How can he teach if he's not even sure who he is?

When Po's long-lost panda father suddenly reappears, the reunited duo travels to a secret panda paradise to meet scores of hilarious new panda characters.

But then the supernatural villain Kai begins to sweep across China defeating all the kung fu masters, Po must do the impossible: learn to train a village full of his fun-loving, clumsy brethren to become the ultimate band of Kung Fu Pandas.

It takes a great group of professionals to produce the third instalment of a movie franchise and not end up with a tired, repetitive film.

First is the incredibly accomplished cast, that in this film includes Jack Black, Bryan Cranston, Dustin Hoffman, Angelina Jolie, J.K. Simmons, Jackie Chan, Seth Rogers, Lucy Liu and more.

Jackie Chan is the only actor to be voicing two different characters in the film's English release (as Monkey) and Mandarin release (as Li, Po's birth father).

Second is the script and production. The story is interesting but simple enough; it includes plenty of humour and a rarity in Hollywood films these days. It's culturally appropriate because there is a great number of Chinese professionals involved.

This film has the charm, elegance and understanding of Chinese culture that makes it look foreign and interesting enough, but in balance with its Western origins.

Kung Fu Panda 3 reaches the Yin and Yang balance between Chinese and American influences, and it's a beautiful thing to watch.

This is a delightful and entertaining film for children and adults alike.
