SIX AND OUT: Harwood opening batsman Harry Nicholson
What's your most memorable cricketing moment?
Winning an all-Lower Clarence grand final against Maclean United in under-16s.
When did you first play in CRCA Premier League?
Four years ago when I was 13. I played the whole 2012/13 season.
In that time your role has switched from opening bowler to opening batsman. What brought about the change in specialty?
I realised when I was playing rep that as a bowler I was just not quick enough. The zone coaches saw my batting and encouraged me to focus on that more.
You've adjusted well, scoring 300 runs so far this season. Are you enjoying the new role?
It's been so good to get to bat this year. It's made me a whole lot better being able to face the likes of Brad Chard, Chris Adamson and Zac Page wobbling it around with the new ball.
Who is the best player you've played with or against?
In 'Prems' it would be Doug Harris. He pumped me when he played for Easts. In junior rep it would be Max Bryant from Kingscliff.
This is your second season as the pitch curator at Barry Watts Oval in Maclean. What is your favourite pitch to play on in the Clarence Valley?
It would have to be Harwood. Don't you agree? On its day it's the best wicket on the North Coast.
