Wheels turn for Rotary

MORE than 150 riders took advantage of Sunday’s glorious weather to jump on their bikes and take part in the Tour de Woodford.

Although most riders take part to enjoy the scenery, some riders set out to test themselves.

This year the fastest rider – Mark Rattono – crossed the finishing line in 59 minutes.

And there may be something in the water at Yamba because the first 10 riders to cross the line were all from the town.

Event organiser Simon Willmore said rider numbers were exceptional considering the previous week’s weather.

The event is run by Maclean Rotary Club to raise money for important Rotary charities.
