THE National Disability Insurance Scheme launched in July 2013 and continues to roll out region by region across the country. 

In Queensland and New South Wales, some regions have already seen the benefits of the NDIS.

Find out when it's coming to your place:

ROLLED OUT: 1 July 2013: Geelong, Tasmania (rolling out in age groups until 2019).

ROLLED OUT: 1 July 2016: Townsville.

ROLLED OUT: 1 November 2016: Mackay, Whitsundays.

ROLLED OUT: 1 January 2017: Toowoomba, Southern Downs, Western Downs, Maranoa.

ROLLED OUT: 27 May 2017: Early access for current Queensland Government clients in Ipswich, Lockyer Valley, Scenic Rim. 

YOU'RE NEXT: 1 July 2017: New clients from Ipswich, Lockyer Valley, Scenic Rim, Somerset. All recipients from Coffs Harbour, Clarence Valley, Richmond Valley, Tweed, Lismore, Kyogle, Ballina, Byron.

STILL COMING: 1 September 2017: Early access for current Queensland Government clients in Bundaberg.

STILL COMING: 1 October 2017: New clients in Bundaberg.

STILL COMING: 1 November: Early access for current Queensland Government clients in Rockhampton, Gladstone. 

STILL COMING: 1 January 2018: New clients in Rockhampton, Gladstone.

STILL COMING:1 July 2018: Logan and Redlands, Cairns FNQ, suburbs of Brisbane, Fraser Coast, North and South Burnett, Gold Coast, Moreton Bay, Strathpine, Caboolture, Sunshine Coast, Noosa, Gympie, Darwin.

 

QUEENSLAND: All operational in Qld by July 2019, providing support to more than 90,000 people.

NEW SOUTH WALES: All operational in NSW by July 2018, providing support to 140,000 people.
