White Santa delivers new car

IT took Lois Robinson quite a while to convince Grafton residents Lex and Monica Carruthers that they were now the owners of a brand new Toyota Yaris car.

Ms Robinson contacted the Carruthers by phone to tell them they had won the car by taking part in a Ray White Real Estate promotion.

“Basically anyone who sold a house with us during the year went into a draw to win the car,” Ms Robinson said.

She said around 120 people went into the draw for the prize.

“Lex and Monica were in Gosford when I phoned them to tell them they had won,” she said.

“They didn’t believe me and thought it was someone pulling a prank.

“But 10 minutes later they called me and yelled ‘Woo-hoo, you’ve really made our Christmas’.”
