Win a beautiful thing for Pure Prefection
BEAUTY therapy started for Tegan Henwood as a girl mucking around with her mother's make up.
Fast-forward a decade or so later, Tegan is now three years into her own business, Pure Perfection Day Spa on Villiers St, Grafton.
Pure Perfection was recently voted as 'favourite beautician' in the Clarence Valley in a DEX Facebook poll.
"I lived in London for two years and got a lot of my design inspiration from there," Tegan said.
"I would love to do it again. I really wanted to operate in a rustic environment instead of a clinical one."
Tegan recently moved her business to its Villiers St location.
"Our new area is cosy and inviting," she said.
"It's not what everyone has."
On top of running her business Tegan spends her mornings helping in the family bakery Henwood's Hot Bread Shop.
"Starting my own business was scary, but it is taking up well now."
Tegan has two full time employees and a school-based apprentice.
She said she would soon announce some July Races specials.
Pure Perfection received 33 votes ahead of Skin Care Connection on 11. Soul Beauty and Deluxe Beauty both received nine votes.
