Ghosts winger cleared of injury ahead of knockout semi

GRAFTON Ghosts fans will be breathing a sigh of relief after winger Joel Moss was cleared of serious injury.

The in-form winger, who is the leading try scorer in the Northern Rivers Regional Rugby League competition with 29 tries, was carried from the field by two trainers during Sunday's qualifying final loss to Ballina Seagulls.

Moss said his knee had been hyperextended when a Seagulls defender attempted a tackle.

"He went in to make a tackle but his head went straight into my knee," Moss said after the game on Sunday.

A trip to the physio on Monday night cleared Moss of serious injury, with the winger saying it was a "just another cork".

Moss is expected to play in Saturday's semi final against Byron Bay Red Devils.
