Wood and timber cuts reliance on foreign oil
IN AMERICA alone, their usage of Biofuel as an energy has resulted in massive benefits for the environment.
Their reliance on fossil fuels has reduced dramatically and biofuel has displaced nearly 1.9 billion barrels of foreign oil and reduced transport emissions by 589.3 million tonnes in the last 10 years.
The organisation in charge of better environmental outcomes, Biotechnology Industry Organisation (BIO), aims to rid America of its 'addiction' on foreign oil and also achieve lower carbon emissions for the country.
Brent Erickson, executive vice president of BIO, stated that so far in the past 10 years the company through its use of wood and timber for biofuel, has cut reliance on oil to the equivalent of taking 124 million cars off the road in carbon emission reductions.
Biofuel usage in Australia is in its infancy stages but once advances take place we will see a huge progress in this environmentally friendly and totally renewable resource.
