Woolgoolga bypass opening another step closer
THE 10km Woolgoolga bypass is nearing completion.
As a result of drier weather over the past four months, a Roads and Maritime Services spokesperson said the overall upgrade project was progressing and an opening date for the Woolgoolga bypass will be announced soon.
"Part of the southern interchange of the Woolgoolga bypass will open to local traffic on Saturday," the spokesperson said.
The Graham Drive (north) overpass bridge and approaches which form part of the southern interchange will be open to local traffic about 10pm on Saturday, weather permitting.
"Delays of up to 15 minutes may be experienced while the traffic changes are put in place," the spokesperson explained.
"Motorists are also advised of changed traffic conditions before the major switch is carried out.
"From 6am on Saturday the existing highway intersection with Graham Drive (north) will be closed. Access to Sandy Beach will be temporarily diverted through the intersection of Graham Drive (south)."
