Wooli breakwater repairs begin

WORKS to the Wooli breakwaters has started this week.

Member for Clarence Chris Gulaptis said the repairs were part of the $690,000 in repairs to the north coast including Cudgen Creek and Evans Head River.

"The NSW Government is committed to ensuring the breakwaters are structurally stable and safe for the public," Mr Gulaptis said. "Being exposed to ocean storm waves the breakwater armour units and crest surface can sustain damage over time.

"The repair works will restore the rock armour, upgrade the crests and improve pedestrian access at each of these locations."
