Work to begin on Byrons Lane landslip

STABILISATION work will be carried out on the landslip on the bank of the Clarence River at Byrons Lane at the Pacific Hwy crossing from Tuesday.

Roads and Maritime Services has advised the work will be carried out from a barge moored with anchors in the river's South Arm.

The barge and any support vessels will display lights and signs to alert boaters.

Skippers are advised to navigate with extra care and to pay attention to work vessels, lighting and signs.

Skippers should keep a safe distance and speed from the work and the work vessels and limit the amount of wash near the site.
