Works to cause nightly disruptions on bridge

ROADS and Maritime Services have advised motorists of changed traffic conditions for essential work on Grafton Bridge from next week.

Work will be carried out for four nights, weather permitting, between 7pm and 6am from Sunday, December 18 to Thursday, December 22.

Work will involve general cleaning and repairing the road surface at various locations.

There will be some noise and vibration, but every effort will be made to minimise the impact on residents and businesses.

The noisiest work will be carried out in the earlier part of each evening.

Clarence Street will be closed to motorists turning onto the bridge travelling south during work.

Traffic will be reduced to one lane, alternate flow across the bridge, and speed restrictions will be in place for the safety of workers, motorists and other road users.
