Yamba named one of Australia's most beautiful places
DO you consider Yamba to be one of the most beautiful places in Australia?
Expedia certainly does, naming the Clarence Valley town in a list of the top 25 most beautiful places in Australia.
According to the travel website, Yamba was chosen for its aesthetically pleasing mix of national parks, rivers and canals and beautiful beaches.
"Some might say Yamba is a bit of a show-off," reads the website's blurb.
"National parks and natural canals showcase the beauty of this charming town, which also just happens to be on the beach.
Discover these delightful surroundings aboard the Clarence River Ferry that travels to and from Iluka, then sample Yamba's celebrated prawns at the Clarence River Fishermen's Co-operative."
Readers are then encouraged to walk off lunch with a coastal bushwalk through Yuraygir National Park, where in migrating season they may be able to spot a whale or two.
Sounds like a pretty good day to us.
For comparison, here are the other places in NSW that made Expedia's list:
- Lord Howe Island
