YAMBA duo Jake Douglas and Jed Holloway's Shute Shield season will continue for one more week after a thrilling semi-final win.

The former Buccaneers pair play for Southern Districts in the premier rugby competition, with Waratahs-contracted Holloway captaining the side.

They faced arch rival Sydney University in yesterday's semi-final, and it came down to a Ben Volavola penalty in the final moments to secure the win.

It will be the first Shute Shield grand final without Sydney Uni since 2004.

Southern Districts face Eastwood at Concord Oval next Saturday, after they upset Manly 32-20 in the other semi-final.
