Young artists excel in Bentley

TWO BUDDING young painters from the Grafton Art Club took out prizes at the Bentley Art Awards last week.

Christy Kun, 12 of Grafton won the Phyllis and Reg Hartley Shield for the second year running.

Her pastel on canvas painting featured two birds snug and warm in their winter coats.

Jensen Li also walked away a winner the Primary Art Prize.

Jensen painted a pastel flower in full bloom.

Both artists have honed their skills under the direction of Rhondella Hyde at the Grafton Art Club

Rhondella was very proud of her students and thought this was a great result.

People interested in learning to paint can attend classes by contacting Rhondella on 0431735215.
