Young netballers have fun on court
THE San Remo NetSetGo completed its season on Saturday with a game and small presentation.
Each of the young girls received a medal and certificate from Grafton Netball as well as party food, icy pole and soft drink.
The San Remo NetsetGo program was co-ordinated this year by coaching co-ordinater and opens player Ashleigh Fennessy.
The participants this year were Indy Fennessy, Chanelle Kahle, Ashlee Ellaby, Jordyn McSkimming, Bonnie Crocker, Jessica Pattison, Talija Laverty, Luana Zylstra, Melanie Hart, Kiara Perrett, Rhani McGrath and Brandi Duke.
Congratulations to players from Grafton Netball association Paris Ditton, Kirby Danvers and Kelly Saye who attended the Taps program for 15-year-olds in Coffs Harbour.
Players are reminded to check the new draw in regards to B1 and B2 and A Reserve, as a new draw was put in place two weeks ago.
Last Sunday Grafton Netball Association held its annual Netball Carnival.
The day started sunny and finished with the rain just starting to drizzle.
Teams travelled from Coffs Harbour, Iluka, Yamba, Woolgoolga, Lower Clarence and Grafton of course, for the day, with about50 teams competing in the different divisions.
Congratulations to all who participated as it was a thoroughly enjoyable day.
A huge thank-you to the committee, players, parents, friends and umpires who make the day the success that it was.
Grafton Netball has just two weeks of competition left before semi-finals beginning on September 1.
Players are reminded they must have played five games for their team to be able to compete in finals.
The next general netball monthly meeting is next Monday at 7pm at Grafton Netball Courts.
All delegates need to be in attendance.
GNA would like any interested Representative coaches to please attend this meeting to have a discussion about rep selection for the 2013 season.
On September 27 Coffs Harbour Netball association will be holding a Liz Ellis Netball Clinic for Northern NSW. It will be held in Lismore on September 26 and Tweed Heads on September 25.
Liz Ellis is one of the most respected names in netball, with two Commonwealth Games gold medals, three World Championship gold medals, four National League titles and an Australian record 122 Tests.
Now in their 16th year, the Liz Ellis clinics include expert tuition from Liz and other leading players in attack and defence are designed for players aged 7-13 years and cater for all abilities (players aged 14 and above are welcome, however they may like to register as a team to ensure a group of similarly aged players).
Now you can join her on the court as she brings the Liz Ellis Netball clinics to Northern NSW.
