Relocation grants for youth allowance/ABSTUDY receivers
CLARENCE Valley residents who receive Youth Allowance or ABSTUDY can now claim Relocation Scholarships worth more than $4000.
Member for Page Kevin Hogan said Relocation Scholarships supported eligible students who move from a regional area to a city for study.
Mr Hogan said the scholarships provided $4269 to eligible students in the first year of study, $2135 in the second and third years, and $1067 in subsequent years.
"This payment helps students pay significant upfront costs such as bond for rental or student accommodation, books, computers, travel, removalist fees or new furniture," he said.
Students who receive Youth Allowance or ABSTUDY have already claimed payments since February 21.
Students should keep their family home address and education campus details up-to-date so to receive automatic assistance.
