YOUTH WEEK: Boost your skateboard skills at workshops

SKATEBOARDING workshops for Youth Week are happening this Wednesday, Thursday and Friday across the Clarence Valley.

Australian Skateboarding Community Initiative or ASCI are coming to the skate parks in Iluka, Yamba, Wooli, Coutts Crossing, McLean, and Copmanhurst to teach youth to skate for the Clarence Valley Skateboard Championship in Grafton on Saturday.

The workshops and competition are being held in conjunction with the Clarence Valley Council's Youth Week and the Northern Rivers Social Development Council's Youth Homelessness Matters.

All Youth Week activities by Clarence Valley Council and Reconnect will have an information and activities stall.

Camelia Cottage is holding a games day from 10am to 2pm at the JJ Lawrence Fields today (Tuesday, April 12) as part of Youth Week.

Learn To Skateboard workshops:

  • Iluka - Wednesday, 10am-12pm
  • Yamba - Wednesday, 2-4pm
  • Maclean - Thursday, 10am-12pm
  • Wooli - Thursday, 2-4pm
  • Copmanhurst - Friday, 10am-12pm
  • Coutts Crossing, Friday 2-4pm

The week will culminate with the Clarence Valley Skateboard Championship at Grafton Skatepark between 1pm and 5pm on Saturday, April 16.
