YouTube fancy is seeing double for Rogers twins

FOLLOWING in the footsteps of fellow Mullumbimby musician Iggy Azalea, No Frills Twins Vanessa and Arna Rogers are well on their way to super-stardom.

Their YouTube cover of Iggy Azalea's hit Fancy is currently ranked third out of 13 videos hand-picked in an international competition run by US TV presenter Ryan Seacrest.

Only the top 10 cover artists with the most votes will move onto the next round, which starts on July 22.

Arna said Iggy Azalea had been a good source of motivation for them both.

"She came from a small town, such as Mullum, where we've lived, and has made it so big in America and all over the world, so it's really inspiring," she said.

In between studying fashion design at Wollongbar TAFE, the girls spend about four hours a day reading and replying to fan messages.

"We work really hard to interact with our fans because we feel like it's important to make the fans feel like they know us personally," Arna said.

The No Frills Twins said if they ever gained worldwide stardom, they would use their fame to promote anti-bullying campaigns.
