Sky News host Chris Smith says there "is something not right" with reports Queensland schools are replacing libraries with 'digital information centres'. "How can you expect your kids to learn if they don't have the basic materials," Queensland Liberal MP Tim Nicholls told Sky News. "And the most basic of materials to learn about reading and writing and indeed arithmetic, is a school book". He said he felt it was "fraught with danger" for students to have their books replaced by digital alternatives. It's "just beyond belief that people think that's the new education standard," he said.
